Cascarones are brightly colored confetti-filled eggs. Cascarones may be used to decorate centerpieces, wreaths, or party table tops. They are also very popular for Easter celebrations.
Although cascarones confetti eggs make great decoration accessories, they are primarily used as party favors and jokes, or gags, as they are cracked over unsuspecting people's heads. There's nothing quite like the feeling of having cascarone confetti all over your hair and down your shirt!
In San Antonio, especially during Fiesta events, we love to sneak up behind people (could be friends, family, or complete strangers) and crack the cascarones over their head. (Please be gentle!)

“I received my package. Most were ok but 2 dozen were broken. There was nothing inside the box to protect them. I’m glad only 2 dozen were broke.”

“out of 96 dozen 8 dozen were unusable and a total loss. Not to mention the time it took to go through all 96 dozen to check each crate for unusable ones. Packaging could be better. A single sheet of bubble wrap on the top and bottom with alot of fragile stickers wasn't enough to protect them.”
